The first phase of .EU Domain name registration opened today, called the Sunrise period in which Public Bodies and holders of Registered Trade Marks can apply for the Domains in which they have legitimate interest, i.e. they will have to prove their existing rights. This phase will last until 06 February 2006. And finally .eu Domains will be available for the general public to register from 07th April 2006 onwards.
